Recent Courtyard Marriott Review: "I was on a trip with two 4 year olds and need a place for one night. I am VERY picky about hotels. I usually do not walk on the carpet without shoes and bring my own sheets. This hotel was perfect. I was very comfortable with my kids playing all over the room. There was a small area of mold in the corner of the shower/tub that someone missed, but that was the only area needing cleaning. Everything else was spotless. The location was excellent - right off of the highway and yet a very nice area. Restaurants and stores nearby. I highly recommend this hotel."

| The breakfast buffet offered the same things we have gotten for free from other hotels, but theirs was 8.99 apiece. The soap dish was full of mold on the underneath side. There was no coffee offered with the coffee pot. There was no refrigerator or microwave which I expected from a name brand hotel. |

| We were unable to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep due to excessive noise from a number of sources. First, the walls are so thin, you can hear everything the people next to you are saying and doing; including going to the bathroom! Second, a number of drunken guests decided to take over the pool after it was officially closed for the evening and party loudly, splash and jump into the pool, scream, yell, etc. You get the point. The staff was unable to rectify the situation despite several complaint calls from several guests, including me. This activity went on and on, from before midnight until after 4am. If the hotel were more adequately staffed, I believe this problem could have been solved. It seemed the front desk clerk was the only one both fielding the complaint calls and trying to quiet the rude, unruly partiers. Bottom line: comfortable room, convenient location, but very, very loud. |

| fine clean hotel like you would expect from a Courtyard by Marriott. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room had all the amenities you need with very comfortable bedding and a plasma tv. The only thing that disappointed me was the lack of continental breakfast. There was a hot breakfast bar for $8.99 each but nothing quick and simple. Almost all hotels of every class now offer a c. breakfast! who knows why this one didn't. |

| After a grueling day at Duke Medical Center arriving at the Courtyard was a relief. We were pleasantly surprised at it's close proximity to the medical center as well as restaurants, etc.
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean - a must! - and spacious. The lobby was clean and comfortable as well. We even enjoyed breakfast in the "cafe" the following morning - good food, wide variety, friendly service. We will be making more trips to Duke and will definitely make the Courtyard our hotel of choice. |

| The hotel was conveniently located and the staff friendly, but the biggest disappointment was the unavailability of any food/room service on the premises. After traveling 10 hours by car and arriving at 7:30 pm I would have liked to have been able to order in the room or sit down in a restaurant on premises.
The price was a bit high for the area----we stayed elsewhere for the same price later that week in a comparable city area a few hours away and the amenities, etc. were far superior to the Marriott's. |
