The Hotel was clean and the service was beyond good. Their hot tub was broken and I was disappointed so the front desk man offered to call across the street to see if they had one. They didn't so he offered me a free breakfast for my trouble. The Courtyard was very nice. They do need to clean their glass door which have no been cleaned in weeks or months,  other then that it was great.

I would not recommend this hotel. It looks like a Courtyard in many respects but it needs a renovation and upgrade in service. We had many issues not typical of Courtyards - only one guy was working and he was handling guests checking in, maintenance issues, wake-up calls, kids monopolizing the business center, missing sheets, broken equipment, everything.  He was kind and patient but clearly overwhelmed. We didn't have sheets for the sleeper sofa, the gym equipment didn't work (and it was very hot in there), the flier left in the room stated one breakfast price but the actual buffet sign quoted another (they didn't correct our bill when I pointed out the discrepancy, the clerk just said "oh, we haven't gotten around to updating that" with no offer to make it right), kids were running around all night, the walls were thin and we could hear every angry word uttered by out neighbors, etc. There has to be a better option in Durham.

Excellent hotel for the price and convenience of location. Would have been nice to obviously know whether or not the breakfast was included in the price.

We stay at the Courtyard Marriott everytime we're in Durham and have never had a bad experience.

Clean rooms and hotel, courteous staff. Only complaint was air conditioner was very noisy. Breakfast not included.

The breakfast buffet offered the same things we have gotten for free from other hotels, but theirs was 8.99 apiece. The soap dish was full of mold on the underneath side. There was no coffee offered with the coffee pot. There was no refrigerator or microwave which I expected from a name brand hotel.

The room is clean. Decoration is tasty. The bed is too soft, combine with the highway traffic noise, I could not sleep well.

We were unable to enjoy a peaceful night's sleep due to excessive noise from a number of sources. First, the walls are so thin, you can hear everything the people next to you are saying and doing; including going to the bathroom! Second, a number of drunken guests decided to take over the pool after it was officially closed for the evening and party loudly, splash and jump into the pool, scream, yell, etc. You get the point. The staff was unable to rectify the situation despite several complaint calls from several guests, including me. This activity went on and on, from before midnight until after 4am. If the hotel were more adequately staffed, I believe this problem could have been solved. It seemed the front desk clerk was the only one both fielding the complaint calls and trying to quiet the rude, unruly partiers. Bottom line: comfortable room, convenient location, but very, very loud.
