Recent Marriott Convention Review: "The hotel was very clean and newly decorated with wonderful colors and bedding. I had a great view from the room and the location of the hotel was convenient to local resturants and shops. The hotel buffet breakfast was filling with a range of offerings. The service in the resturant was warm and friendly. The cost was also very reasonable. I would recommend it!"

| I have stayed at the Durham Marriot MANY times as my office is directly across the street. The staff for the most part are welcoming, professional and a few really go above and beyond to make your stay a good experience. The rooms are comfortable and the hotel is always spotless . The location for me is perfect because of my office location but if you are staying for any other event in or around Durham, check the location carefully before booking. This hotel is in a pretty secluded part of Durham The walk from the parking lot after dark is a bit sketchy and may seem unsafe (Valet and Bell service seems to be available on a hit or miss basis depending on how booked they are). They have shuttles that run pretty constantly that will take you to all of the places you may need to go so there are options but if you are looking to walk out the door to enjoy all that Durham has to offer this may not be the place for you. Other than that, i can highly recommend this hotel. |

| I have stayed at this hotel several times and everytime it just gets better. The staff is great. After my second stay they recognized me and that really made me feel great. The location is great as well. Downtown Durham has a lot to explore. |

| Most hotels of this type charge a daily fee for wireless, but it is free here. Also, the bellman deleviered us to our meeting for free, saving us a cabfare. |

| I stayed here on business and it was A1. The hotel was really clean, provided a shuttle free of charge, the staff that I met were really friendly, professional and helpful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it for business or leisure. |

| The rooms our newly updated and were clean, comfortable, and quiet. The rate was very reasonable for the quality and there is also free parking across the street. The drawbacks were that the staff (bell desk and front desk) were not very friendly or terribly professional. Also, I wouldn't recommend room service. The food was fair at best and overpriced. However, they have a great new workout facility with high quality, brand new machines, flat screen TVs, etc. If you like to work out, it's a definite plus. In summary, great facility but the staff need to shape up a bit. |

| I was in town for business and did not know the Durham area at all. The staff was incredible helpful and friendly with directions, restaurant options, and even a free shuttle service to different areas of town. |
