Recent Radisson Research Triangle Review: "I found the hotel to have nice amenities, was extremely clean and had a comfortable bed and exeptional bedding. I slept well the very first night, which is not usual for me. The buffet for lunch was well stocked, had variety and was very affordable. The bar was nice and it's menu/drinks were comprable to other establishments. The only thing I didn't like was that we had to access our room outside the main hotel and it was lousy weather. Our room was close to the main door so we did hear other guests as they passed through the doorway. Hotel staff were outside in the back parking lot, talking loudly later in the evening. Since it was warm, we had the window open and could hear them on the phone or talking with one another. This could be avoided by getting a different room location. Overall, however, it was one of the nicest hotels we stayed at and definitely had the nicest appointed room and absolutely most comfortable bed!"

| We were visiting our son in Durham for the first time. The staff at the Radisson was excellent. Record setting temperatures were eased by the pool. Very large and clean. Very good value. Easy to get to Durham. Very quiet location. Breakfast buffet was good. Service was very good. |

| This hotel is a nice comfortable hotel that is decent for those whom travel for work. However, the internet was poor as well as the promptness of service when ordering dinner. While this hotel is not bad, I do prefer others in the area. |

| This hotel is a little bit further from the airport and needs a little updating from the outside, but the quality of the rooms and excellent level of service from the staff make it a great value and experience. They were especially helpful with shuttle arrangements to and from the airport. I will definitely stay here again! |

| The staff was very pleasant and accommodating. I thought they had a regular shuttle to Duke University Campus where I was doing research, but they didn't. They did accommodate my need for transportation. The hotel was very nice, clean, comfortable. But it was practically in the middle of nowhere, without a car--which meant not a lot of food options. The hotel does have a restaurant where the food is pretty good. |

| The Radisson hotel is not near much of anything unless you have business in the Research Triangle Park, although shopping movies and restaurants are within reasonable driving distance. BTW--don't necessarily believe your GPS if you are driving! Ours got us close to the hotel, but was confused about where to turn. The desk clerk told us that happens frequently in the RTP area for some unknown reason. So, keep your eyes peeled.
The layout of having several separate buildings is a bit inconvenient if your room is in one of the buildings farthest from the main lobby and dining room as ours was. There was no protection from the rain when we were unloading our car, etc. It was quite a hike going in and out of other buildings to reach the front desk or the restaurant to stay out of the weather.
The bathroom could have been cleaner. I had to clean the toilet seat--yuck--and there was hair on the floor. I feel sure (from the condition of the rest of the room and the hotel itself) that this was an oversight and not the norm. The bathroom is very small.
The room was nicely furnished and the sleep number beds were more comfortable than your average hotel bed. The linens were very nice and there were lots of pillows. I would like to have had a light blanket as an option to the big comforter, but that seems to be the latest trend in hotel rooms lately. They provided a refrigerator for my husband's medication as promised, but it could have been placed in a better location than sticking out from under the outer bathroom vanity. I was worried that I would bark my shins on it--but I didn't. My husband appreciated that the A/C system was quiet and not one of those noisy beneath the window type units.
The restaurant food was average and served in large portions. There was a good and varied selection of entrees. There is a small salad bar that is available and is included with every entree. We ate dinner there both nights of our stay, so we obviously found it pleasant enough. The wa |
