Recent Washington Duke Golf Review: "From the portraits of all the Duke ancestors, to the beautiful grounds, the Washington Duke Inn is the place to stay if you have any allegiance or interest in Duke University. My brother (who is going to attend the school as a graduate student this fall) and I needed a place to stay while looking for accomodations for him. In the process we came upon the Washington Duke Inn. Set on Duke's campus, the hotel offers confort, friendly Southern service, and an overall comfortable experience. Both the room service and Fairview Dining Hall cuisine was delicious (even for a vegetarian on a diet). The gym was confortable and the swimming pool looked inviting. The golf course surroundings were gorgeous. I would recommend this place in a heart beat."

| One rotten apple does not spoil the bunch. We encountered one very rude person at the front desk. She was unfriendly and a little hostile. EVERYONE else at the Washington Duke Inn was wonderful. This is a great hotel in a great location. This is a hotel that your parents will enjoy and your friends will feel comfortable visiting. |

| Very comfortable and friendly staff. Comfy beds and a nice bathroom. Liked the indoor pool and we ate all our meals at the hotel restaurants. Good food and convenient too. Across the street from Duke University. Also has a great 5K runnign trail. |

| They made me feel like a VIP. Even upgraded my room at arrival. Beautifully appointed without being stuffy. Like staying at a wealthy uncle's country home. Especially enjoyed my am jog on the trail through the woods circling the hotel. |

| My son and I recently stayed at the Washington-Duke Hotel on a recent college visit to Duke. It was a great experience. The staff was friendly and professional, the lobby and room were in perfect condition, and the location was ideal. During our college tour around the east coast, we stayed in a wide variety of hotels in different cities, and the Washington-Duke was our favorite by far. |

| The Washington Duke Inn was a pleasure to stay in -The room with view of golf fairways had a large flat screen TV and 2 beds were firm and comfortable. Bathroom was beautiful marble sink vanity & large mirror, with tub (starting to see less of these in many hotels that have moved to shower only). We enjoyed the pool though it is a moderately small, indoor pool, which could have had a few more water-exercise type equipment than just "water noodles." We don't golf but you could see the course and watch sunset over fairways as you lounge on chaises just outside the poolhouse. There was a nice workout facility as well. It was convenient to visit Duke campus (reason for our stay) and close by to Durham sites and great BBQ restaurant (Q-shack). Family friendly hotel I would stay at again or recommend. |
